District Health Society (DHS) Longleng organised three- day district TOT training on rotavirus introduction and medical officers and health workers handbook on routine immunisation from June 12 to 14, at CMO conference hall, Longleng. 

A press release from medical superintendent i/c chief medical officer Longleng, Dr Toshirenla stated that the health workers were trained on cold chain and vaccine logistics management, AEFI and surveillance management, diarrhea prevention and management, communication and social mobilization, monitoring and RVV introduction, UIP and responsibilities of MO, safe injection and waste disposal, exercise on RI micro plan format, supervision and monitoring, AEFI card game, role plays, pre and post questionnaires, managing session sites and station approach. 

The team was led by TOTs Dr Imnameren Phom DPO (RCH/UIP), junior specialist district hospital Dr Wannau Phom and Dr Chai-e Buchem MO Yachem PHC. SPO UNDP Kohima Kingson also attended the training as district monitor. All the medical officers, nurses from PHCs and sub centres, vaccinators, community health officers, VCCM, DPM, DCM, ASHA co-ordinators, and BPMs attended the programme.
