DISCUSSES DEMAND  FOR TSEMINYU DISTRICT, NH-61 EXPANSION

Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) celebrated its 4th Foundation Day at EAC HQ, Tsogin with representatives from all Rengma villages, on April 17.

A press release from RSZ president, Kenneth Kath stated that Hichulo Semy, founding member RSZ, spoke about the organization’s motto, “Akazü, Inyi” (My land, my people). A short speech was also delivered by Soyhunlo Khing, president Chogin Range Public Organisation (CRPO).

In the business hour, the organization reiterated its unreserved support extended to the Rengma Hoho and its frontal organization for upgrade of Tseminyu sub division to a district HQ. The RSZ, to achieve the Tseminyu district demand, promised to extend its unflinching support to the lone elected representative of the Rengmas, R. Khing, advisor of AH&VS & WRD to enable all round development under 12 Tseminyu A/C.

Rengma youth also took a pledge to strive in unison for “Akazü, Inyi”. The RSZ president along with youth representatives of Rengma villages also appealed to the government of Nagaland to consider and fulfil their demand for a Rengma Tseminyu district.  RSZ also appealed to all designated government officers and staff to be present at their posting places, especially to re-strengthen the EAC Tsogin office’s functioning.

The RSZ also resolved to continue supporting the construction company undertaking the NH-61 expansion, for speedy completion of work.

It however cautioned that it shall ensure that the work execution meets specifications of the MORTH. The organization stated that it will not tolerate or compromise with any sub standard work.

The function was attended by various seniors, village leaders and Church leaders from Tsogin range. Earlier pastor, John Tep, Logwesonyu Baptist Church invoked God’s blessings.
