Taking serious note of reports of vehicle theft and unscrupulous persons harassing and threatening commuters along NH-2, the Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) has formed a Quick Response Team (QRT) to oversee the situation.
In a press note, Rengma Selo Zi  general secretary, Sokenye Kent while apologizing to the victims who have faced undue harassment, warned of strict action against antisocial elements found loitering around and disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of the area.
RSZ appealed to the administration and police to take up the matter on top priority and extended support to the law enforcement agencies to clean the mess.
Drivers/travellers have also been asked to be extra cautious as the road widening work has caused the roads to become slippery. Travellers have also been asked to contact the following helpline for any assistance: 7005644315, 9612316129, 7005633055, 7630098727, 9383045732, 9615375695 and 9612362304.
