RTI programme held in Phek

Right to Information (RTI) programme to sensitise public of Phek town was held at town hall on November 20. 

According to DIPR report, deputy commissioner of Phek, Sachin Jaiswal in his welcome note stated that RTI was an important tool for every citizen of the state, wherein public needed to know for effective information. He also welcomed state information commissioner and his team.

Kevizatouo Miachieo, state information commissioner Nagaland in his introductory speech said that RTI was an act to provide the citizens with right information, to secure information and to promote transparency and accountability in the working of public authority. 

Miachieo also urged the public to apply for legal rights information for the purposes of healthier society reimbursement and not only for individual benefits. Meanwhile Kevizatou Miachio and GH Ramlia released the books, “Compendium of office memorandum” and “Analysis report” respectively. Powerpoint on RTI was given by deputy secretary Worhonthung Ezung. Dr. Vizovol Mekro, principal, PGC, Phek gave vote of thanks.
