Sainik School Punglwa celebrates English literary week

In order to bring cadets of the school closer to literature and its universal appeal, and encourage them to improve their communication skills with the English language, Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) organised an English Literary Week from July 13 to 18.
A press release from the school said that as part of the event, various competitions and activities involving calligraphy, essay writing, story writing, extempore speech and debate were conducted to hone the skills of writing and speaking. Cadets were fruitfully engaged in these competitions and showcased their literary talents.
The Debate Competition on the topic, ‘How important is value education in students’ life?’ marked the end of the Literary Week. Principal Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar attended the event as the chief guest. He presented prizes and a trophy to the winning cadets of different houses. Japfü House emerged as the champion of the competition and Tizu and Saramati Houses were adjudged the first runners up and second runners up respectively.
