SCGC organizes literary and fine arts competition

Sao Chang Government College (SCGC), Tuensang organized a one-day program on “literary and fine arts” competition for its students at the college auditorium on October 9.

A press release by SCGC media cell stated that principal of the college, Dr. A. Nshoga, in his brief address encouraged the students to inculcate in themselves the habit of writing and to participate actively in literary and art works to enhance one’s own skill in various areas.

Various competitions on poetry writing, short story writing, painting, solo and debate were conducted. In the poetry writing competition, Chubasangla of B.Sc 3rd Semester was declared as the winner and Betikundang, B.Sc 3rd Semester and Nasetmongko, B.A 5th Semester won the second and third positions respectively. In short story writing competition, Benjonglemla of B.Sc 3rd Semester bagged the first and C. Changlangmei, B.Sc 5th Semester and Niukai Khiamniungan, B.A 5th Semester bagged the second and third positions. In the painting competition, Batang Tobou Chang of B.A 5th Semester got the first position and Moakumba, B.A 5th Semester and Retsuthong, B.A 5th Semester finished in second and third places. In solo competition, Tongpang of B.A 5th Semester bagged the first position while Pongom, B.A 1st Semester and Thsarili. L. Santgam, B.A 1st Semester secured the second and third positions respectively. In debate competition, Nasetmongko of B.A 5th Semester won the first position and Jongmo. S. Meyo, B.A 1st Semester and Sangyangtola, B.A 5th Semester won the second and third positions respectively.
