Post Mortem

Scholarship

Many a time our State, Nagaland experienced protest/strike in different forms of demand. When there is a protest there must be a genuine reason. Just recently Naga students had hunger strike in the capital city for not releasing their scholarship. Everything has its own time to take place. When the students move out for their rights instead of positive response the Govt. deployed police force and harassed them. This is quite wrong from the govt. side. Because the protest was cent percent right as it was for scholarship money belonging to them.

Everyone of us must be alert in order to avoid accidents. What the Scripture said; We are told to pray for the Rulers, Leaders Nations of this world. So we do (I tim 2:2). In another Scripture said; “When the righteous are in authority people rejoice. But when a wicked man rules people groan (Pro 29:2)”.
My question is, why are there strikes/protests in our land every now and then? It is very clear that as long as there is corruption our state will always be in unrest.
Teachers salaries too: Very frequently certain teachers’ salaries especially Hindi/Adhoc/Work Charge etc. are not given their due share. Everybody needs to get his/her wages for their labor. Let us draw more attention regarding these issues and wake up the concerned authorities to do their job. When there is no Justice people strike. Prevention is better than Cure. In order to, avert strike/protest, let justice prevail.
