SCMI mental health workshop

Student Christian Movement of India (SCMI) North East Zone II organised a workshop on “Mental health and youth” on March 19 at Sakus Mission College, Dimapur. The resource person for the workshop was Bokatoli Sumi from Serendip Guardians, a mental health organization.

A press release from program secretary SCMI North East Zone II, Tolly T Yeptho stated that under the topic “Mental Health and Youth,” the facilitator stressed on aspects of understanding the basics of mental health, mental health issues faced by youth, identifying and dealing with mental health issues, exam stress and anxiety and health coping mechanisms. The entire session focused on active participation by engaging participants in activities such as writing, questioning and identification of mental health issues and how to deal with them. Participants from Sakus Mission College and ICFAI University attended the workshop.
