Sechii, New Market in KTC final

Sechii Zubza FC and New Market FC entered the final of the 2nd KTC Cup after winning their respective matches at Kohima local ground on Wednesday. In the first semifinal, defending champion of KFL-2, Sechii-Zubza FC beat Twenty XI FC Viswema 2-1. 

Hanglen Chang of Sechii Zubza FC opened the account in 23rd minute. The first session ended 1-0 in favour of Sechii Zubza. After the breather, Twenty FC found the equalizer through Viho Kin’s strike in the 50th minute. Thereafter, both teams stepped up their attack but without much success.  Then in the 73rd minute, Aloumei Panmei took the opportunity to score the winning goal to guide Sechii Zubza to the final. Four players namely Petevizo Kezieo, Viketoukho Miasalhou and Zeaneikho Miasalhou  of Sechii-Zubza FC and Viho Kin of Twenty XI FC were yellow carded for foul play.  

In the second semifinal, New Market FC beat Vanguard FC Tseminyu 4-2.  New Market scored two goals in the first session through, Kethozhapu Meru (27th) and Menguzelie Rutsa (47th). The third and fourth goals for New Market FC were scored by Menguzelie Rutsa (55th) and Rhitsho Mero (78th). For, Vanguard FC the goal scorers were Yhumshelo Kemp (50th) and Mathew Kezhose (80th). Meanwhile, three players of Vanguard FC, Ketholetuo, Sinlo Kent and Kanan received yellow cards 

Sechii-Zubza FC and New Market FC will clash in the final on August 31 at 2 pm.
