Security forces apprehend cadres from various factions

Security forces in an operation along with Police representative apprehended four cadres of NSCN (U) near Phor village in Phek district on October 23.

According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), based on specific input, the security forces launched an operation and apprehended the individual from the area. It is suspected the cadres were planning to cross Indo-Myanmar border via Laluri village and further link up with NSCN (K-Nikki) faction. The apprehended individuals have been handed over to Meluri Police Station for further investigations. 
In a separate operation, security forces along with Police representative apprehended one cadre of NSCN (K) Khango in Naga Colony, Dimapur on October 22. According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), based on specific input, the security forces launched an operation along with police representative and apprehended the individual.
The troops also recovered one point 22 mm pistol with magazine and five live rounds of ammunition from the possession individual. The apprehended person along with recovered items was handed over to East Police station for further investigation.
Security forces further in a joint operation with Police apprehended one cadre of NSCN (K-Nikki) near 2K Hotel, Officer Colony, Kohima on October 22.
According to PIB (defence wing), based on specific input, security forces launched a joint operation and apprehended the individual from the area. It was suspected that the individual was involved in extortion activities on behalf of commander of western division, NSCN (K-Nikki) in Kohima. Troops also recovered one point 22mm pistol with magazine, ten live rounds of ammunition and other incriminating documents from the individual.
The apprehended along with recovered items were handed over to South Police Station, Kohima for further investigations.
