Security forces crackdown on illegal activities

Security forces in an operation along with Police representatives apprehended two cadres of NSCN (I-M) near Chümoukedima in Dimapur on October 27. According to PRO (Def) Kohima, based on specific input, the security forces launched an operation and apprehended two cadres of NSCN (I-M) from the area. The troops also recovered one 7.65 mm carbine with magazine, one .32 mm pistol with 12 rounds of live ammunition, ten rounds of 12 bore, one Baofeng Motorola set, one Ggld bar of 166 gm amounting to Rs 8.75 lakhs and Rs 6.32 lakhs in cash from the possession of the individuals.

The apprehended cadres along with recovered items have been handed over to Chümoukedima Police Station for further investigations.
As part of the ongoing crackdown to prevent illegal activities in Nagaland, Security Forces seized IMFL in general area Botsa on October 29.
According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), based on specific intelligence regarding illegal activities in general area Botsa, Security Forces launched an operation and apprehended three persons. Recoveries included assorted liquor amounting to Rs 1,06,650/- approximately, along with one Maruti Suzuki ( Regd No NL 10 4606) and one Mahindra Bolero (Regd No NL 07 3637). The apprehended individuals along with recovered items were handed over to Chiepobozou Police Station, for further investigation. 
Meanwhile, earlier on October 23, security forces had seized IMFL in Orchid Colony, Wokha. 
According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), based on specific intelligence regarding illegal activities in general area Orchid Colony, Wokha, security forces alongwith Police representative launched an operation and apprehended one individual.  Recoveries included six cases of assorted liquor and others. The apprehended individual along with recovered items has been handed over to Wokha Police Station for further investigation.
