Security forces nab cadres from various factions

In a separate operation the security forces along with police apprehended a cadre of NSCN (KN) near Naga United in Dimapur on October 16. According to PRO IGAR (N), based on specific intelligence, the security forces launched an operation and apprehended the individual who was suspected of being involved in extortion activity in the area.

The troops recovered one pt 32 mm Pistol with magazine, two unused booklet, 13 leafs of a booklet, 23 loose extortion slip, seven GPRN assignment letter duly signed by ‘secy’ union territory, V Iheto, and one mobile phone from the possession of the individual.
The apprehended person along with recovered items was handed over to Diphupar Police Station for further investigation.
Meanwhile, on October 14, security forces in an operation along with Police representative apprehended four cadres of NPGN/NNC (Non Accordist) near Jail Colony, Kohima.
It was suspected that cadres were involved in an extortion activity in the area. The troops recovered one point 32 mm pistol with a magazine, six live rounds of ammunition, one extortion pad (office of the Naga army NPGN-NNC) and 61 signed extortion slips of NPGN/NNC (NA) amounting to Rs 1, 71,000. Further, the apprehended individuals along with recovered items were handed over to South Police Station, Kohima for further investigation.
