Semou is Nerhema wrestling champ

Khrielabeituo Semou emerged the champion of 65th Nerhema Wrestling Meet organised by Nerhema Youth & Sports Organisation (NYSO) at Nerhema village on Saturday.

Semou pocketed a cash prize of Rs.20,000.Kelhousetuo Sere bagged second position and awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.
Dziesekhrietuo Kerhiio and Nekhrievozo Kerhiio stood third and fourth position and pocketed Rs.10,000 and Rs.5000 respectively.
In the junior category, Viphretuo Riilho emerged as the winner while Vimhalie Chadi, Keneichiituo Semou and Kikruvilie Kenguriise secured the second, third and fourth position respectively.
Earlier, gracing the inaugural function as the special guest, Neiketouzo Kenguriise, PS to Chief Minister Nagaland cited the vast scope and rapid growth of wrestling at the national and international level. He, therefore, urged the youngsters to put sincere effort and excel in the field of wrestling. Kenguriise also advised the youth to value and respect their parents and elders for a successful and dignified life.
The inaugural function was chaired by Vilhousielie Kenguriise, vice president, NYSO while Nouvilie Riilho, president delivered the presidential address.
Kevipusa Kezhie-o, treasurer, Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) graced the closing ceremony. The function was chaired by Neilhouvolie Chatsu, general secretary, NYSO.
