Sensitisation on scholarship scheme in Zbto, Peren

DEO (Education) Zunheboto organised a one-day district level sensitization programme on scholarship scheme organised under the banner of Directorate of School Education (DoSE) Kohima at ZTSBC conference hall, Zunheboto on August 20. 

UDA DoSE Kohima, Jangsemba Jamir was the resource person of the programme. All together 111 teachers from both private and government schools attended the programme. 

The resource person shared important points on how to apply for pre-matric scholarship scheme for minorities, its conditions of eligibility and the procedure for Nagaland government schools student meritorious award. He also discussed about the objectives, conditions of eligibility and instructions for students and institutions for Nagaland government schools student meritorious award. 

Earlier, the programme started with a welcome address by Sekhonulu Thingo DEO Zunheboto and a short introductory speech by Limadangit Jamir, deputy director/state nodal officer. NikutoSumi, dealing assistant DEO Zunheboto, delivered the vote of thanks.

Peren: District level sensitisation programme for institution on implementation of scholarship schemes under DEO Peren, Nagaland was held on August 20 at town hall Peren,  attended by 97 government schools and 24 private schools.  

A press release from DEO Peren, stated that, Ramdi Thou DEO while speaking at the programme requested the school authorities to help create awareness of the different scholarship schemes launched by central and state government. 

He also encouraged the eligible students to avail the opportunities to lighten the economic burden of their parents. 

Assistant superintendent (scholarship) Sakuyuden gave an introductory speech on implementation of scholarship, while Zurhetho Nyuthe, special educator (scholarship) spoke on the procedures of registration, how to apply and verification at different levels. 

The filling of applications for pre-matric scholarship for minority students 2019-20 is done through national scholarship portal started on July 15 and last date is Octoher 15.
