SET, NU organises 12th Freshers meet 2019

 The School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Nagaland University organized its 12th Freshers Meet on September 7 at Town Hall Dimapur.

On the occasion, special invitee, Nagaland Tool-Room & Training Centre (NTTC) Dimapur, principal, Er. Petehetuo Miasalhou maintained that the educated people should contribute and think for the society. He urged the students to become entrepreneur through start up India initiative of central government. He stated that NTTC and NU-SET should collaborate to provide machinery and tools to engineering students in solving various problems faced by people in their locality. 

Miasalhou acknowledged and appreciated the effort made by former Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, professor Krishnamoorthy Kannan for helping to setup and start first technical institute in Nagaland in the year 2007. 

Dean NU-SET, professor SK Sharma, in his speech encouraged newly admitted 90 students to work hard and have a positive attitude. He acknowledged the faculties for their dedication in imparting quality education and said that many passed out students are working in various organizations. 

The event ended with the crowning of Jesse K Awomi and Ankita Chakraborty as Mr. and Miss. Freshers SET, NU 2019.
