Two first half goals from Henry was enough for the bottom side Khriekesa FC to register their first win of the season defeating United 16 FC 2-0 at the ongoing Seyie Auto Kohima Football League-3 here at IG Stadium, Kohima on Friday.

With both teams struggling at the bottom of the league, the match was evenly contested.

Abonmei, the playmaker for Khriekesa FC, made the difference in the game. His first chance was a whisker away from giving the lead to Khriekesa FC had it not been for the crucial save made by Nighato Assumi.

In the 44th minute, Khriekesa FC team got the first goal after Ruokuovilie Phewhuo was bought down inside the box and penalty was awarded.  Henry slotted home with a clinical finish to give the lead.

Minutes later, Abonmei shot was deflected back into the defenders hand as the referee awarded the second penalty for Henry to score his second goal in the 47th minute before the end of the first half.

The second half remained goalless with United FC 16 failing to seize their opportunity to score as Khriekesa FC edge on to win their first match and move above A Yhome FC and United 16 FC in the league standing.

The defeat means United have now conceded 10 goals in three matches without scoring a goal in the 3rd edition. While Khriekesa FC have scored four goals and conceded 13 goals in three matches.

The win puts Khriekesa FC in 5th place with 3 points.

Er. Visekholie, superintending engineer, Power department was the match patron for the day.
