SHCM general convention underway

The 5th general convention of Soul Harvest for Christ Ministries (SHCM) under the theme “ rooted and build up in Him” (Colossians 2:7) got under way at Soul Harvest Church of the Living God, Daklane, here on Friday. The three-day general convention will conclude on July 14.

In the evening service on inaugural day , executive secretary Chakhesang Christian Revival church (CCRC) Rev. Vevozo Khamo, who spoke on the theme, said Christian must  deeply root in Christ  and build up or else the life would weaver and fall down. He challenged the congregation to be ready to face the great  tribulation as recorded in the bible. He also encouraged the gathering to accept Christ in good time and do not wait for the trial and testing time to accept Him.
Keneizhakho Nakhro, MLA, 8th Western Angami, who graced the occasion as guest of honour said one should be humbled before God to be lifted up by Christ in due course of time and can do great things through Him.
The programme was led by Evangelist Iroiding Poireng and welcome address was delivered by Jochunsinle Kent committee secretary, convention choir presented special song. 
The word of God was read by Thangsoi Shiu associate pastor SHCLG Thizama, choreography presented by youth department and offertory prayer by Harvest prayer centre.
The general convention was attended by delegates from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Wokha, Dimapur, Ghaspani, Bhutan, Thizama and others.
Earlier, founder president Soul Harvest for Christ ministries, Rev. Kevisede Kire unfurled the flag and dedicated the church extension.  
On Saturday at 10 am, graduation and licencing service would be held with director SCERT Nagaland T. Sekhose as guest of honour and president Cross wonder ministries Rev. Ketou Thunuo as speaker.
