SHG food products on display at Street Food Mela in Kohima

As part of the ongoing Shehri Samridhi Utsav under the theme “Eat Safe, Eat Healthy and Eat Fortified,” the Street Food Mela continues at MLA Hostel Junction, Kohima under the aegis of District Urban Development Agency, Kohima under SUDA.
Several Self Help Groups (SHGs)and individuals joined the mela by selling and displaying different types of food products.
Shehri Samridhi Utsav (Street Food festival and job mela) called ‘Urban Prosperity Festival,’ was launched in Nagaland on February 1, with the rest of the country, under the aegis of the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) Urban Development department Nagaland, in collaboration with Food Safety, Nagaland under Health & Family Welfare and Kohima Municipal Council. Held under the  aegis of Ministry of Housing and City Affairs, the festival will target city livelihoods and extending the reach of National City Livelihoods Mission (Day-NULM).
This food mela that begins from 9 am, will continue till February 7.
Similar melas will be set-up at PHQ junction on February 8 & 9; Dimapur - February 11; Mokokchung - February 12; Mon & Wokha - February 13; Tuensang - February 14; and Zunheboto & Phek - February 15.
