SHP team visits schools, Anganwadi centres in Tamlu

The School Health Programme (SHP) RBSK team from Chief Medical Office (CMO) Longleng visited six villages under Tamlu Block from April 30 to May 2.

A press release from medical superintendent I/C chief medical officer, Longleng, Dr. Toshirenal stated that the team visited four government primary schools in Buranamsang village, one GPS each in Ngetchongching village, Namhaching village, Yonglok village and Shemnyuching village and also visited the Anganwadi centres.
During the visit, the team provided Vitamin A and Tetanus injection to the children, health talks on sanitation and cleanliness were given, screening of children with birth defects, diseases, deficiencies and developmental delay was carried out in the schools and Anganwadi centres.  
The team was led by the SHP (RBSK) medical officers- Dr. Suimzenla Longkumer and Dr. Lirenthung Khuvung along with two nurses, Tongpangtula and Owyan, Taula Phom SHP (RBSK) co-ordinator and district media officer, Roseline.
