SJC Dimapur conducts parents-teachers meeting

St. John College (SJC), Dimapur held a parents-teachers meeting (PTM) at the premises of the institution to review and discuss issues relating to student’s academic performances and development on November 16. 

A press release from SJC Dimapur stated that, prof. Dr. S.T. Janetius, principal of the college highlighted the role of parents in motivating the students to achieve personal skills through various skill development courses offered in the institute for students to become more self reliant and independent.
Setuomenuo Ao, assistant director of St. John College Dimapur, spoke about the policies implemented in the institute which focused on not only academic but holistic development of the students through a syllabus that tries to develop the skills of the students.
Dr. Anungla from department of Botany, highlighted the recent achievements of the students in academics as well as in co-curricular events. She also encouraged the parents to constantly motivate the students to achieve their goals.
Pito Aye, president of the parents association, gave a brief introduction to the organization and suggested some few ways in which the overall growth can be achieved.
A number of interested parents and guardians took the opportunity to enquire about a few college policies, whereby management team provided answers and explanation for the rules implemented.
Ajem from department of Chemistry chaired the meeting and spoke of the necessity of having such interactions to update the parents about the various activities of the institution. Vote of thanks was given by Peter Banks, administrator of the college.
