Skill development programme for unemployed youth (batch 32) was launched on February 18 at Don Bosco Tech AIDA centre by Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) administrator, Albert Ezung as the chief guest.

A press release by the centre informed that, speaking on the occasion Ezung spoke on the importance of skilling and giving opportunity to the unemployed youths of Nagaland. He also lauded the Don Bosco Tech AIDA for their contributions towards this end.

Ezung also encouraged the trainees to skill themselves to get an employment and urged the trainees not to depend on government jobs as the government was inadequate to provide job to the entire citizen.

“No job is big or small as long as we do it dutifully with sincerity. Whatever we do we should do it with dignity; unless we do that society will consider government job as social prestige. So, we need to change our mind set and venture out in life without depending on Government job,” said Ezung.

Mission Procure, of Province of Dimapur & AIDA in-charge, Father T.T Joseph also encouraged the trainees to put God at the centre of their life and also asked them to love their neighbours.

Yangkong Yangla anchored the programme; Fr. C.T Vargeshe, Rector Don Bosco Dimapur led the opening prayer followed by welcome speech by Avito Horo. Trainees also presented Ao folk dance and Lotha folk song and Sidanan Pashwan said the vote of thanks.
