Sonowal addresses back to back rallies in Diphu

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday addressed three back to back election rallies in the hills of Assam covering Dima Hasao, West Karbi Anglong and Karbi Anglong autonomous hill districts which constitute Diphu parliamentary constituency. 

Sonowal, while addressing an election rally at Haflong for BJP candidate Horen Sing Bey, attacked Congress and claimed that the 70-year misrule of the Congress has pushed the hill districts of Assam towards backwardness. He claimed that the trouble-torn hill districts have begun its journey towards normalcy with all round developments after BJP came to power.

Seeking massive support from all section of people, Sonowal said that the BJP government headed by Prime Narendra Modi was dedicated, decisive and self-determined government, for leading the country towards a new India.

He claimed that BJP was committed towards equal development of all 33 districts of the state. As Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had promised, maximum developments have been to take place in the state along with other states of the North-East, Sonowal said.

The rally was also addressed by Hill Areas Development minister Sum Ronghang and Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Memebr of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council.
