A Spiritual Camp was held at MOCK Auditorium, Mount Olive College, on July 20 and 21, organised and sponsored by Sumi Baptist Church, Women Department under the theme “Integrity Life” with associate pastor women SBCK, Kitoshi Kiba as the camp director.
According to DIPR, Sumi Baptist Church Kohima pastor, Rev. Dr. Hokheto Chophi was the main speaker for the two-day camp. Speaking under the theme, he encouraged the students to be disciplined, and have a good attitude of sincerity in life, because a person’s life reflects their integrity.
Referring to Psalm 139:13-14, he said that God had created each and everyone beautiful and unique and therefore everyone could achieve their goals in different ways. He stated that these days many young people were failing to understand God’s purpose, and become frustrated and depressed thinking that that it is the end of their lives. Chophi called upon the students to discipline themselves and push themselves so that they could perform well and live a much better life by putting their faith and trust in God.
Chophi also urged the students to add Jesus into their lives and let Him be the driver, mentor and master of their lives.
Principal Mount Olive College, Narendra S Tiwari, in his short greeting, said that getting a certificate was not the only achievement of life but becoming a person free from evil was the best integrity. He appealed to the students to practise what they had learnt from the camp and he also encouraged them to retain a strong bond with God.
The program was chaired by associate pastor Women SBCK, Kitoshi Kiba and associate pastor, Nitoshe Zhimo. A message of greetings was delivered by vice chairperson (Women Department), Tokali Rochill and chairman Governing Board (MOCK), Tokheni Awomi. A special number was presented by SBCK Youth praise team and MOCK students. A health care session was also conducted by Dr. Vili Swu Yeptho (for Women) and Dr. Rio Chishi (for Men).
