Spl trains from Guwahati to help stranded passengers

Railways is running special trains from Guwahati to help stranded passengers in Assam which has been hit by violent protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Special passenger trains are being run in Guwahati so that people reach their destination in upper Assam. One such train was operated on Friday to Dimapur. .

A special passenger train to Dimapur from Guwahati will also run on Saturday night, they said. While 2000-2400 passengers were ferried in the last two days, around 600-800 passengers were still stranded in Guwahati. These shall be ferried by Sunday morning.

Trains cancelled: NFR has informed that several have been short-terminated/cancelled in view of the unrest. Dec 15: 55601& 55602 (Guwahati-Lumding vice versa), 55603 & 55604 (Guwahati–Mairabari vice versa), 55713 & 55714 (New Jalpaiguri–Rangiya vice versa), 55719 &55720 Dekargaon–Bhalukpong, 55721 & 55722 (Rangiya–Dekargaon vice versa), 55801 & 55802 (New Bongaigaon – Guwahati vice versa), 55802, 55803, 55804, 55809, 55810, 55817& 55818 (Guwahati–New Bongaigaon vice versa), 55812 & 55811 (Kamakhya–Dhubri vice versa), 55813 & 55814 (Dekargoan–Murkongselek vice versa), 55819 & 55820 (Guwahati–Mendipathar vice versa), 55823 &55824 (Rangapara–Dekargaon vice versa), 55861 & 55862 (Rangiya–Dekargaon vice versa), 55894 & 55895 (Rangapara-Rangiya vice versa) 75723 & 75724 (New Bongaigaon–Guwahati DEMU vice versa), 75727 & 75727 (Guwahati–Haibargaon DEMU vice versa) and 75729 & 75729 (Guwahati–Silghat Town DEMU vice versa).

Further, 13141 & 13142 Sealdah–New Alipurduar Tista Torsa Exp from Sealdah on December 15 have also been cancelled. 15959 Howrah– Dibrugarh Kamrup Exp, 12518 & 12517 (Guwahati–Kolkata Garib Rath Exp from Guwahati on Dec 14 & 15), 13145 Kolkata–Radhikapur Exp from Kolkata and  13146 from Radhikapur on Dec 15.
