SRSU inspects Sakiphto area schools

A Sakipheto Range Students’ Union (SRSU) team, on September 26, went on a surprise visit to all government schools under Sakipheto area, to check the functioning of schools and see whether students were availing the best benefits from classroom teaching. 

A press release by SRSU president Shiluvi Ayemi and general secretary Botovi Yepthomi stated that during their brief visit the union observed that the condition of the infrastructure of GPS Kupuhe and GMS Hekheshe were deplorable and needed upgrades.

The team also found that in GMS Kukidolong, there was wrong circulation of syllabus confusing both teachers and the students. The union has requested the concerned authority to be more cautious as the future of students was at stake. 

The union appreciated the regularity and sincerity of teachers in some schools and requested school authorities to conduct more parent-teacher meetings. The heads of the schools were also requested to ensure good results and keep the school environment clean.
