SSP organise cricket championship

Sainik School Punglwa organised a cricket championship for novice cadets from September 2-9. The championship was played by the six sections of classes 6 and class 7 on league cum knockout basis.   

In the final match, class 6A won the toss and decided to bat and scored 70 runs out in the allotted 10 overs. Chasing the target, Class 7B easily won the match by 8 wickets and were crowned champions of the tournament. Class 7A was placed third.

Officiating principal, Lt Col M Kiran Meitei, who gave away the prizes to the winners, encouraged the cadets to put in their best in every competition they take part.
