State BJP units has vehemently condemned the malicious tweets posted by “unscrupulous element(s) from the twitter handle @tuhinshuvraB targeting the NDPP with frivolous allegations.”

In a press note, state BJP pointed out that this was the second attempt by unknown miscreant(s), whose sole intention was to try and sabotage the camaraderie enjoyed between NDPP and the BJP coalition PDA government in the State.

It said that on February 6, 2020, the state BJP had filed an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the state police for defamatory and unfounded tweets against NDPP by a similar twitter handle @tuhinshuvra6, which was later deleted.

BJP said that the same miscreant(s) may have created the latest handle sometime in May 2020 with the intention to jeopardize the good relations between the NDPP and the BJP.

“Such acts are totally defamatory, illogical and rife with ulterior motives to foment misunderstanding in the PDA government,” BJP said, adding the party has taken serious note of the issue and shall leave no stone unturned to ensure that such miscreant(s) were brought to justice.

BJP said that the party was in the process of filing an FIR with the Cyber Cell and have full faith in the efficiency of the law enforcing agencies and bring out the truth in the public domain.

The party said it does not, and will never subscribe to such cheap tactics, unfit to be applied in politics. BJP further urged the rank and file of the NDPP party headed by chief minister Neiphiu Rio and NDPP president Chingwang Konyak and the public not to be misled by such unimaginable acts by unknown person(s).
