State govt announces scholarships for IAS aspirants

Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio has announced scholarship worth Rs. 82 lakhs for 100 youth under 'Chief Minister Corpus Fund', creating an opportunity for deserving and talented IAS aspirants of Nagaland to undergo free of cost coaching from ALS IAS coaching institute, a DIPR report stated.

ALS which is India's Largest IAS coaching network has over 75 centers across India including 30 in North East along with 2837 selections in UPSC till date including 154 selections last year. ALS has also been honored with similar sponsorship for IAS Training from government of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram and Manipur in the past.

National sales head ALS, Prateek Bhattacharya has also announced scholarship worth Rs. 72 lakhs for 190 Aspirants under ALS CSR Initiative for Youth of Nagaland. Together this announcement has created an opportunity for 290 IAS aspirants of Nagaland to avail scholarship sponsored by Government of Nagaland and ALS.

Further, the chief minister also mentioned that the selection of Top 100 students sponsored under CM corpus fund will be based as per the reservation policy of state government. The scholarship exam will be conducted on October 12, 2019 in all district headquarters, under the supervision of the respective DCs.

Application forms will be made available from October 3, in all DC's office with last date of form submission being October 10. Results of the examination will be generated on October 16 and batches will commence from October 21.

Students selected will undergo training at any of the six ALS authorized learning centers in Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Wokha and Mon via cutting edge VSAT Technology where LIVE Transmission of classes being conducted in ALS Delhi campus would be given and students will learn from Best IAS Mentors of the country. 

Dedicated Academic Mentors from Delhi shall also be sent by ALS to Nagaland to monitor, motivate and guide the students during their training along with monthly visits which will be made by IAS/IPS officers serving in Nagaland to inspire the candidates.
