Joining the nation-wide protest called by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Nagaland branch Saturday informed that all non-essential medical services will remain suspended from 6 a.m. on June 17 to 6 a.m. on June 18.

As the doctors’ protest entered the fifth day in many parts of the country, IMA on Saturday announced that it will continue the agitation. As per the directive from IMA HQ, the Nagaland branch president Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu has requested all medical graduates to join in the 24 hours withdrawal of non-essential services across Nagaland on Monday, in solidarity with the medical fraternity all over India.

Meanwhile, Dr. Keditsu said all emergencies and casualties are exempted.
