At least 40 violations of the lockdown were reported in the state on Wednesday, but remedial steps were taken against the violations committed.

Home commissioner and principal secretary Abhijit Sinha, who issued a report on law & order and facilitation of essential goods & services for April 1, 2020 in the state, said that 49 persons were arrested, 39 FIRs were lodged under section 188 IPC and 1 FIR under section 106/107 CrPc. 

However, he said that no fine was imposed and no vehicle seized. Also, Sinha said no law and order incidents have been reported in the State.

On the supply of essential goods and services, he said to monitor the essential supplies control room was being setup in all the 11 districts of the State. 

Shops for food grains and groceries were opened in all the districts except Dimapur, Sinha informed. It was stated that shops were regulated in Mokokchung and Kiphire and opened only on alternate days. Shops for milk and medicine were also opened in all the districts except Dimapur. 

No shortage of food grains, groceries, milk and medicine has been reported in the State.

According to the report, no restrictions were imposed on the movement of commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and service providers like electricity, telecommunication, fuels etc. in the State.  

In Dimapur, restriction was imposed on the movement of e-commerce agents. The Dimapur district administration has established a community kitchen and food has been distributed with the help of NGOs. Permits were issued to vehicles for transportation of essential commodities.
