Stringent punishment for July 12 murder accused demanded

Dimapur Naga Youth Organizations (DNYF), Chumukedima Ao students’ Union (CASU) and Chümoukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO) have demanded stringent punishment for the accused, Sanjay Lodh son of Gopal Lodh, for the murder of Tasenjungla on July 12 at Chumuokedima.

DNYF: DNYF through its media cell strongly condemned the “heinous crime and murder” and lauded the Dimapur police for quick intervention and arresting the accused on time. The organisation also appealed the higher authority to punish the accused as per the law of the land.

CASU: CASU in a condemnation note by its president, Soyimtongdang and secretary, Temsunaro stated that such inhuman and brutal act can never be tolerated in any society and should be condemned by all. While appreciating the prompt recovery of the body and the arrest of the culprit by the police, the CASU demanded stringent punishment as per the provision of the law and warned that authority to not grant bail to the accused.

CASU further affirmed that any kind of crime committed in its jurisdiction will not be tolerated and will be dealt strictly.

CTYO: CTYO through its president, Diethosilie Shuya and assistant general secretary, Petekhrielie Kuotsu vehemently condemned the “heinous murder” and appealed to the concerned authorities to not entertain any kind of bail and award the highest befitting punishment to the culprit, as per the law of the land. The organisation has also extended its full cooperation to the concerned authorities. CTYO further warned that any kind of crimes committed in its jurisdictions will not be tolerated and that strong action will be initiated against the wrongdoers.
