Successful students of HSLC and HSSLC feted

Dimapur Meetei Council (DMC), Piphema Students Union (PSU) and Chatteswary Durgabari Kala Kendra organized a felicitation programme to honour the successful students of HSLC and HSSLC. Following are the reports.  

DMC: Dimapur Meetei Council (DMC) felicitated the  successful Meetei students of HSLC and HSSLC examinations on June 2 at Community Hall, BSNL Complex, Kevijau Village, Dimapur.
A press release by DMC stated that the programme was graced by Green Wood Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, vice principal, Hemchandra Singh and DE BSNL, Nagaland, S Kiho, as the chief guest and special guest respectively.
The programme led by executive member, Bungobi Singh and youth president, Komoljit Singh began with a mass prayer lead by cultural secretary, Ajit Khoiram followed by welcome address by vice president, Oken Meetei. It concluded with vote of thanks by general secretary, Indrojit Leihaorambam.
PSU: Piphema Students Union (PSU) held its 7th felicitation programme for the successful candidates of HSLC and HSSLC, 2019 on May 31 at council hall Piphema A. The programme was graced by PKKK president, Zhato Kimho as the speaker.  Chakhroma Students’ Union president, Er. Zhasakholie Kehie also delivered greetings. Around 70 students, including village leaders, elders, parents and teachers from various schools under Piphema attended the programme. 
A total of 28 successful students were felicitated.  Meanwhile, the union has thanked the headmaster and staff of GHS Piphema for achieving 83.3% in the HSLC exam 2019.
Chatteswary Durgabari Kala Kendra: Rabindra Nazrul Jayanti-cum-felicitation programme for HSLC students was held at Chatteswary auditorium on June 2. 
A press release from Chatteswary Durgabari (CD) secretary, Biplab Paul stated that, Dimapur Music College secretary, Shankar Deb in his speech highlighted the importance of music. Welcome speech was delivered  by Chatteswary Durgabari president, Pradip Paul. Ram Mohan Bagchi and Samir Purkyastha also spoke on the occasion.
In the programme, 14 students were felicitated, out of which three were rank holders. The programme ended with a cultural bonanza by the students of Chatteswary Durgabari Kala Kendra. The programme was graced by artistes from West Bengal and many distinguished persons of the city.
