SUL celebrates Mungmung festival

Sangtam Union Longleng (SUL) on September 4 celebrated its 2nd Mungmung festival at the residence of Deputy Commissioner Longleng.

According to a DIPR report, the event was hosted by DC Longleng, John Tsulise Sangtam, who in his short speech dwelt on the importance of the festival in bringing people together.

Menfolk of Sangtam community presented “Longmi Khi” while an ethnic fusion song was also presented by “the in-laws.” GM DIC Longleng, Akhaba Sangtam, highlighted the significance of Mungmung. The program was attended by Phom Peoples’ Council, Phomla  Hoichem, head of departments, Phom Students’ Conference, dobashis, chairman and head GBs of neighbouring villages, pastors from different churches, executive secretary of PBCA, public leaders and other well-wishers.
