Along with the rest of India, Suzuki showroom at Puraana Bazaar in Dimapur unveiled its latest model of maxi scooter called the Burgman Street on Thursday. Chief Manager of State Bank of India, Haokholen Hangsing unveiled the scooter in the presence of officials and staff of the Suzuki and Nilli Nissan showroom.
Dubbed the most awaited maxi scooter of the year, Burgman Street bears an international European Design and is loaded with impressive features. It promises to turn heads and stand out amongst other scooters in the 125 cc engine power scooter segment. It is worth mentioning here that the scooter bears striking resemble to the classic superbike Burgman 650 Executive that was sold in the US in the mid 2000s.
The scooter which will be sold in two colour options of black and white will rival the likes of TVS Ntorq 125 and Honda Grazia 125 and is currently the only maxi scooter from Suzuki to go on sale in India. The ex showroom price of Burgman Street is 73,512 rupees. Burgman Street is powered by the same engine that powers Suzuki’s largest selling scooter, Access 125. The Suzuki Eco Performance technology makes it the best in class mileage (53.5kmpl) without compromising on engine performance and acceleration.  The power and torque outputs will be close to 8.5 bhp and 10.2 Nm. It also has a standard front disc brake with combined braking.
The other notable features of the maxi bike are Suzuki Easy Start System and central locking,  full digital instrument big display unit, brightest LED headlamp and tail lamp, chrome plated front and rear parts,  the first Indian scooter with body mounted windscreen, the first Indian scooter with flexible foot position for riders, wide floor board with two front hooks to carry baggage, 21.5 litres under-seat storage with helmet holders, and front lidded storage space with DC socket and open bottle holder.
