T&A bids farewell to Principal Director

The department of Treasuries & Accounts (T&A) bade farewell to its outgoing principal director, K. Tiayanger Tzudir on January 18 at Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts conference hall.

A DIPR report stated that, Tiayanger Tzudir, in his farewell speech, thanked officers and staff of the department, family members and well wishers for gathering to bid him farewell. He extended his appreciation and gratitude to the principal director, officers and staff for the arrangements and organisation of the program. Reminiscing about his school days when he aspired to be an engineer, he pointed out that he eventually landed up in the department of T&A as an STO in December 1983. He took this to mean that life has a destiny. Tiayanger thanked Almighty God saying that he was retiring fully satisfied and with great happiness, and he had no regrets from day one in service till his retirement.
Tzudir reminded the officers that there had been only 38 of them in the department when he first joined however, now it has been expanded to more than 200 officers with a 100 more in the pipeline. He also acknowledged that all achievements and laurels received during his tenure was not a lone effort but a collective venture supported by officers and staff of the department. He appealed to them to extend the same cooperation and sincerity to the incoming principal director.
Commissioner & Secretary Finance, Kikheto Sema, termed the service of the outgoing officer “positive”, adding that he had always been interesting and amazing during their association. He said Tzudir was an officer whose remarkable achievements and contributions for the welfare and well being of the department had created assets and not liabilities.
Principal Director, R. N Lotha, pointed out the remarkable achievements and contributions of the outgoing officer to the department, saying that he was an officer who strongly advocated for and took active role in the upliftment of the department particularly in creation of new posts, cadre review, service rules and computerisation of treasury offices.
Director T&A, Vahine Thisa, who chaired the program, welcomed the outgoing officer, family members and well wishers. She also highlighted some of Tiayanger’s achievements and contributions.
Additional Director T&A, R.N Lama, gave a brief profile of the retiring officer. Tiayanger was awarded the Governor’s Gold medal on August 15, 2011, for his exemplary service. 
OSD Finance, Taliremba, director & IGP Vigilance Commission, I. Meyionen Jamir, C.T. Jamir, senior AO NF&ASA, Temsu Longkumer, senior TO, Kekhaho Aye, and senior AO, Amenla also “attributed dedication of the outgoing officers during his 35 years of service”. A special number was presented by Vetholii Rhakho and director T&A, Adi Naleo spoke some words of gratitude.
