TASU federal assembly sum sports meet kicks off

Advisor Youth Resource & Sports Er. Zalie Neikha graced the 36th session of the Tobu Area Students’ Union (TASU) Federal Assembly cum Sports meet 2020 as the special guest on January 6 at Monyakshu Village, Mon district.

Speaking at the opening session, the minister emphasised on quality education and said that to acquire academic degree was easy these days, but only the best of the best get employed as government officers. 

Asserting that God has gifted everyone with a unique talent, the advisor, therefore, urged the parents not to pressurize children and go against the wishes of children while pursuing academic education.   

Stating that that sports too was a platform to create job avenues, the advisor, however, appealed to the participating students not to give up their schooling for the sake of spots. He maintained that sports and education must go hand in hand to obtain job in the field of sports. 

Zalie Neikha also challenged the student community to adopt work culture and encouraged them to become entrepreneurs. 

On the occasion, the advisor assured to construct a football ground at Tobu region. Neikha also inspected the players and declared the tournament open.

The opening match was played between Monyakshu village students’ union (MVSU) and Pessao village students’ union (PVSU). The MVSU defeated the PVSU 5-0.
