TDCC printing and publishing house inaugurated

TDCC printing and publishing house, a wing of Tribal Development and Communication Centre, Mokokchung, Nagaland was formally inaugurated by ADC, Mokokchung on August 23, at Mokokchung town.

TDCC member, Dr. L. Imsutoshi Jamir, expressed appreciation to Merennungsang Imsong and Bendangtula Jamir for fulfilling the long-felt need of the centre by establishing TDCC printing and publishing house. Jamir also ascribed the achievement to God and not a by-chance occurrence.

The centre has its origins in 1994 when around 15 young scholars, church leaders, social activist, media practitioners and communication experts from different parts of Nagaland and a few from Assam and Manipur came together with a mind to start a charitable organization.

So far, TDCC printing and publishing house has published 40 books with five more books in the press to be published in two months time. The first book by the centre “Unforgettable Memories from Nagaland” was published in 1994.

The 40th TDCC publications titled “Tribal cultural imagination and theological conversations,” co-authored by L. Imsutoshi Jamir and Zulunungsang Lemtur was also released on the occasion.

Earlier, W. Manpai Phom and Rev. Ponen Longchar, pastor, Mokokchung Town Baptist Church offered the dedicatory prayer in the presence of prominent writers, scholars, church leaders, senior citizens and well-wishers. 

Other highlights of the program were a brief history of TDCC by ABAM executive secretary Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger and a word of gratitude by TDCC printing and publishing house, proprietor Merennungsan Imsong. The inaugural and dedication program was chaired by Talijungla Longkumer.



Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
