Reminding that teaching was not just a job but a scared profession, advisor Sericulture, Excise and  Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio urged the teachers to execute their duties with responsibility as they were considered the backbone of the nation. 

He said this while gracing as key speaker at the All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union (ANHTU) Dimapur unit silver jubilee celebration and 26th state level Hindi Divas under the theme “25 years towards progress” held at Town Hall, Dimapur.  While reminding the teachers of their responsibility, Zhaleo asserted that starting from the primary to the higher level, the future of children depend on the hands of the teacher. “Let us care for the children future and together we will march forward prosperity and development in all sectors”, said Zhaleo.  

He also extended greeting to Hindi teachers and pointed out that celebration of jubilee was to remember and honour the pioneers, who have immensely contributed towards the teaching of Hindi. He encouraged the teachers to carry forward the good message in their respective areas. He also discouraged the practise of proxy and bogus teachers and urged the teachers to be sincere and execute their assigned duties with dedication. 

Speaking as guest speaker, additional director of School Education, Razouseyi Vese highlighted on the importance of language saying “we need to mastered our own language, learn to preserve it and at the same time try to learn other language too”. Maintaining that with the advancement of technology, children have become smart, he encouraged the teachers to upgrade and keep themselves updated so that they will be able to help the children to study smart.

In the programme, report of the union was delivered by ANHTU Dimapur unit general secretary, Daniel Sema and ANHTU central body general secretary, A.S Yarthotngam while short speech was delivered by deputy director (Hindi) School Education, Zakienei Khoubve and ANHTU central body president Rometo Sema. Earlier, Zhaleo unveiled the jubilee monolith and distributed prizes while the souvenir was unveiled by the guest speaker. The programme began with an invocation by DHHM director Rev. Dilip Singh and vote of thanks by ANHTU Dimapur unit advisor, Walenniba Jamir.
