Teens Meet organized in Mokokchung

A ‘Mokokchung Town Area Teens Meet 2018’ was organized on Saturday, under the theme: ‘Craving Niche’, by Mokokchung Compound Baptist Church, Youth Ministry with ABAM Youth coordinator Teka Imchen as the special guest.
Altogether, 6 churches participated in the meet where competitions were held in the categories of elocution, music recital and solo (vocal) for the age group of 13-19.
Imnajungla of Mokokchung Compound Baptist Church and Wangshitemjen of Sungkomen Baptist Church were adjudged the first and second prize winners respectively in the elocution contest. For the music recital, Insanok, Moasunep, Imkotong & Imkongmeren of Mokokchung Town Baptist Church were declared the winners while Moasenla, Putusanen, Arenjungla & Imtinenla of Sungkomen Baptist Church were declared the second prize winners.
The solo (vocal) contest winner was Tiasola of Kumlong Baptist Church while Nungshirenla of Mokokchung Compound Baptist Church was adjudged the second place winner.
Earlier, while exhorting the congregation, special guest Teka Imchen stated that the teen age years was the perfect stage in life to nurture one’s talent. He said that a talent is a gift from God. “In fact,” he added “everything in life is the gift from God” and he encouraged the teens to never forget this. Teka further said that sometimes we tend to forget the gifter (God) once our talents are recognised. He encouraged the youth to not make that mistake in life.
The program was hosted by Akumienla and Imyanglu while the welcome note was said by MCBA teen mentor Limasenla. A special song was presented by Repasongla and the vote of thanks was proposed by MCBA youth promoter, Lanuzulu Longkumer. God’s presence was invoked by KBA associate pastor, Dr. Zulu and closing prayer was said by MTBA youth evangelist, Monglier.
