Temjen Imna condoles

Minister for Higher & Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer has mourned the demise of B Tekalong who passed away in Dimapur on April 6 at the age of 81. A condolence message sent through the Department of Information and Public Relations stated that the late Tekalong was one of the leading educationists from the Ao Naga community.

It added that he was born in 1938 in Aonokpu village, and was an intellectual who devoted his entire life to teaching and to the field of academics. 

He first joined Fazl Ali College in Mokokchung as a lecturer in 1976 and after serving in various categories as an academician for 39 years, Tekalong finally served as administrator of St. John College, Dimapur in 2006. He also served as secretary of the Nagaland Public Service Commission. 

Describing Tekalong as a dedicated mentor, Temjen Imna stated that he will be remembered for the many contributions he made to the community and society at large. He prayed that God will give strength to the bereaved family and friends to bear the profound grief and hoped that the departed soul rests in peace.
