Temjen urges youth to be worthy citizens

Temjen Imna Along, minister of Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Nagaland and state president BJP Nagaland urged upon the Japukong area youths to have sense of responsibility as worthy citizens of the soil.

A press release from PRO to state BJP president, Samuel Sumi stated that, Temjen said this as valedictory guest during the 8th Japukong youth meet 2020 held at Longchem village. 

During his address at the programme, Temjen also urged upon the Japukong area youth to leave aside any misunderstanding and work together with unity. 

He urged the gathering especially the youths not to go for easy money or try to grab opportunities through backdoors but focus on their goals and work hard. He reminded that students should study diligently for academic excellence to enable the generation to taste the fruit of unity in society.

He congratulated the Japukong Youth Organisation (JYO) and stated that youths were loaded with awesome talents but due to lack of patience they fail to focus on a goal, whereby they end up frustrated without any vision for the future. 

Temjen also announced that for interested youths in the field of volleyball a corpus fund of Rs. 5 lakhs would be constituted to be used to coach and train both men and women enthusiasts in all the villages under Japukong. He also asked the JYO to take the initiative.

Minister was accompanied by the Alongtaki mandel BJP president and host of BJP party karyakatas. Programme was attended by citizens, public leaders and govt officials under the establishment of EAC Longchem. The 8th Japukong youth meet 2020 volleyball championship trophies were bagged by Alongtaki men’s team and Japu women team.
