The Consumer Forum Tening Town (CFTT) has drawn attention to the power outage since July till September 2018 in Tening town.

A press release from CFTT president, A. K. Zeliang and secretary, D. R. Ringsang sternly questioned the Power department as to why power had been disconnected to Tening without any reason.

The CFTT stated that every office and business establishment, including network service and banking, had come to a standstill since July.

The CFTT cautioned that if the department failed to produce any tangible official clarification over the present crisis, consumers would decline to pay the bill for July to August 2018.

It also stated that the department would be held responsible and bear its brunt for negligence.

CFTT further appealed to the head of department to take appropriate action against the defaulters and fix the problem immediately, without which, the union would take its own course of action.
