Tening Village Cultural Society observes cultural cultivation day

Tening Village Cultural Society (TVCS) organised a cultural cultivation day in Araning Zam to preserve the cultivation method of forefathers and to draw villagers closer in social activities on May 7. 

A press release from TVCS media cell stated that, jhum cultivation was commonly practiced by the indigenous Naga tribes in Northeast India. TVCS stated that this year, the Tening village council decided to shift to Araning Zam, which has been preserved for more than ten years. TVCS also stated that this system was adapted to the local conditions in moist forest and hilly area.

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
