Tetso College’s Department of Commerce and Management organised the 3rd Edition of CoMfiesta 2018 on November 30.

A press release from the college stated that Unity College, Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur Government College (DGC), S.D. Jain Girl’s College (SDJGC), Agape Higher Secondary School (AHSS), and Mount Mary College (MMC) were also part of the event.

The Inter-Institute Fest which was based on the tagline “Where Talent Meets” had a variety of performers and participants coming together to compete in a number of events.

The keynote address was delivered by Kvulo Lorin, director, Tetso College, in which he mentioned that, apart from other factors, the development of a state rests largely on commerce. However, looking at the statistics in the NBSE HSSLC Exam 2017 for commerce stream, only 1169 students appeared for the exams. Out of this only 829 passed of which 389 were placed in the 1st division. Highlighting the alarmingly low numbers of students opting for the commerce stream, Lorin emphasized on the need to address this issue by spreading more awareness. A vote of thanks was delivered by Rajesh Tanti, assistant HOD of Management and Economics. Inapu Aye, of B.A. 6th Sem and president of EU pronounced the benediction.

Earlier, the program began with an inaugural program chaired by Ria Jain, B.Com 2nd Sem., and an invocation offered by Thanshemla Vashum, B.Com 6th Sem. A Welcome Song was presented by Chubamenla, B.A. 4th Sem. Amar Ranjan Dey, HOD Commerce and Management welcomed the participants and sponsors of the event.
