Three artists from Nagaland win a trip to SCAD, Hongkong

 Pop Up Art Gallery of master art workshop organized by Rattle and Hum in collaboration with Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Hongkong concluded with grand success at Kohima on January.

Almost all the paintings sold off will all go towards charity. Three artists, Ruokuoselhou Miachieo, H.Akup Buchemhu and Neiphrezo Ezung won a trip to SCAD, Hongkong from among the 11 talented artists who had participated.

SCAP executive director of admission Pelesino Ane Kevichiisa representing SCAD said that this was just the beginning of many more collaborative events. The three selected students will get to work with fine art professors focusing on drawings, paintings and illustration of SCAD and is looking forward to giving more opportunity to the Nagas. She advised all to keep up as art required hard work and dedication. 

Alemtemshi Jamir graced the occasion as special guest, wherein he congratulated all the 11 participants and stated the importance of promoting art in society. He added that art form was very intriguing as it expressed what one has seen and enjoyed. He also added that with growing artificial intelligence, bio technology, by 2050 the computer will be faster than a human brain. He said that it will bring technological singularity which would be awesome and the paintings, expression of feelings, emotion, love and fear, would project that artists will stand up for human dignity.
