Toka Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd., from Dimapur received the National Entrepreneurship Award 2019 of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship at the National Entrepreneurship Awards held in New Delhi on November 9.

Toka MPCS received the award in A3 category for organisations operating between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore in Difficult Area Operation.  

It may be noted that Toka MPCS is a grassroots level organization providing services in finance, training, incubation, mobilization, marketing, farming, construction and processing aimed at uplifting the economic status of marginalized farmers, women self help groups and entrepreneurs. 

The awards were conferred by minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey. The awards aim to recognize and honour the outstanding young First-Generation Entrepreneurs, and Ecosystem builders for their outstanding contribution in entrepreneurship development and providing support to the entrepreneurs. It seeks to instill and entrench the entrepreneurial attitude among the future generations and the Youth of India.
