Tourist activities suspended at Fakim, Thanamir, Dzüleke

Ecotourism Board of both Fakim village and Thanamir village along with their village councils have decided to temporarily suspend all tourist activities and entry of tourists under the jurisdiction of Fakim and Thanamir to prevent and control the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) with effect from March 20, 2020 until further notice.

In a joint press release, Fakim village council chairman Hanruthong, Fakim Ecotourism Board chairman Tsumongthong, Thanamir village council chairman Tsechimong and Thanamir Ecotourism Board chairman Tseseki sought cooperation of all responsible individuals and travelers. 
Expressing regret over any inconvenience caused by the suspension of tourist activities, the two villages, however, looked forward to welcoming visitors when it was safe for everyone to travel.
Meanwhile, the Dzüleke Ecotourism Board (DEB) and Dzüleke Village Council (DVC) have also resolved to temporarily suspend all tourist activities and entry of domestic, international and local tourists under Dzüleke village jurisdiction.
In a press release, DVC chairman Vitsipielie and DEB chairman Avi Khate said the suspension of activities would come into effect from March 20, 2020 until further notice.
