Training of newly appointed ASHAs in Wokha

An induction training program for newly recruited ASHAs was held at the CMO’s Conference Hall, Wokha from March 12 to 19, chaired by the deputy chief medical officer, Wokha, Dr. Zuben Kikon. 

A press release from NHM district media officer, Mhonbeni Ezung stated that Dr. Zuben exhorted the ASHAs to be sincere and keep an open mind during the training process. He also encouraged the ASHAs to work harmoniously and help the people in their respective villages and act as implementing agents in disseminating awareness about diseases and preventive measures. He also spoke about the VHND calling it a good platform where they could impart training knowledge to villagers on hygiene, sanitation, cleanliness and develop healthy living habits. The resource persons for the seven-day training were Lily Mozhu, GNM of PHC Yanmhon; Supenro, BAC of Bhandari block; and Thungchanbeni, BAC of Chukitong block.
