Training of trainers held at NHAK

Batch wise training of trainers on “population-based Non Communicable Diseases (NCD) screening and management” for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Community Health Officers (CHO) and health and wellness centre was conducted on May 7-9 and May 14-16 at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK).  

A press release by state NCD cell, DHFW, medical officer, Dr. Ebenezer Phesao, stated that the training was conducted to equip the GNMs and CHOs to implement various activities in health and wellness centres across Nagaland with special focus in NCD screening and management.
The resource persons for the training were Dr. Imotemsu (Sr. Specialist, O&G), Dr. S. Neiphrezo (Jr. Specialist, medicine), Dr. Pitibo (Jr. dental surgeon, NHAK), Vilasenuo Suokhrie (nursing tutor, NHAK School of Nursing), Visasieu Guozi (nursing tutor, NHAK School of Nursing) and Nolasanu (nursing tutor, Dimapur School of Nursing). 
The release also informed that a team from Tata Trusts, Delhi, provided hands-on training on NCD software application.
