Training on fruit processing held in Kohima

Department of Rural Development, Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), block mission management unit Kohima in collaboration with the department of Horticulture conducted one-day fruit processing training at Tsiera Hall, Kohima village on November 5.

A press release by RD block Kohima, Mesule Zao stated that block programme manager, Vitsu Yhome delivered the keynote address, while BDO Kohima Ruokuozelie Üsou exhorted all aspiring trainees to put keen interest and develop skills to improve living standards and enhance livelihood. 

Deputy director, department of Horticulture, Meyasashi was the resource person and along with two of his colleagues gave intensive hands on training on squash and jam making of guava and aonla and elaborately discussed the process of preparing fruit candy and dry fruit.

Altogether 30 participants from different SHGs of Kohima block comprising of three villages viz. Kohima, Chedema and Chedema model villages attended the training.
